Skin care – naturally!

Wow, wow, wow. I’m in love.

Herbal facial oil, aloe herb cleanser, neroli toning mist, dead sea facial scrub, coconut honey mask – all organic and natural. No chemicals or nasties.

I have always been conscious of what I put on my skin, my ‘beauty regimen’ consisted of water only to wash my face, with a scrub once a week, and Jurilique Calendula cream for my face every day. Terribly basic, I know. However I recently found out that Jurilique, since being sold aren’t as ‘all natural’ as they once were. So sad.

Ever since this discovery I’ve been on the hunt for completely natural products, with no chemicals, that I could effectively eat they are so good for you, to use on my face. I was hunting through my favorite bloggers pages and found Annmarie Gianni Skin Care. She is based in America, however the postage was super quick, and for your first trial size packs she will even send internationally for free! Pretty generous I reckon.

(dead sea facial scrub)

I received mine last week, and tried 3 different ‘packs’ to test more products to report back to you about. The cleanser is just yummy, it has a refreshing citrus scent, but not overpowering at all. The great thing about this cleanser is that it doesn’t leave your skin paper dry and aching to get a moisturizer on after using it. Perfect.

The toning mist is also fantastic, love the smell, and the way it leaves your skin feeling. You can use is anytime for a pick me up as well. I’ve never been a huge toner user, but I may just be converted now!

The herbal facial oil for normal/oily skin was my first experience with facial oils, but I’ve been reading a bit about them, and I have to tell you I love it. Love it, love it, love it. It leaves your skin so dewy, but definitely not oily, which is what I was most worried about, and smells amazing. It fully soaks into your skin.

The scrub is super fine, definitely not too scratchy and a real surprise packet. It left my skin with a slight tightened feel, but again not like it was dying for moistuizer to ease my face back into place like some products can. I will be adding this to my roster of presents for all the favourite ladies in life (including me).

(coconut honey mask)

Finally the coconut honey mask I found a little heavy. I suppose this is the point, but for me it took a lot of washing to get the heavy coconut oil off. I’m not probably going to order this one again personally, but don’t let me stop you from trying it out. The coconut body oil is also nice, but to be honest I can use my own straight from the jar.

So, if anyone would like to try out this beautiful range of products you can head here. If you just want to test them out there are 4 different trial packs to choose from to suit your skin type and postage is free – everywhere. Once you’ve given the products a whirl you also get $10 off your next purchase! Like I said, she is super generous and you can feel the love in these products. I also need to let you know if you do choose to shop with Annmarie Gianni through this link I will receive a small commission, so thanks it will totally be going towards supporting my new found beauty product habit.

Update: I’ve just discovered that postage to Australia is over $40. I’m devastated, I’ll still most likely stick with it though until I find something closer to home, or with reasonable delivery costs.

Hi Linley, skin is the largest organ and everything you put on it is absorbed into your body so you’re right to use the simplest and most natural products. Make sure everything is sulphate and paraben free because they are toxic in general and can burden your body, there is some thoughts now that the prolific use of these in beauty products has led to an increase in auto immune diseases. I use Moogoo products and love them but like the sound of this facial oil. Ingrid x
