I thought with the school holidays madness that is starting up for us here in WA I’d give you a gentle reminder that it’s OK to have some time for you too, it’s not all about the kids. If however, they will be glued to you side for the next couple of weeks, give a couple of these tips a go.

6 Tips for Keeping Calm


1. Breathe. It’s an oldie but a goodie. When you wanna scream and shout and let it all out but the kids might think you’ve been possessed, try this. Just take a few deep breaths.

2. Get out. Go outside. Catch those last remaining rays when they appear. Work on the garden or just sit outside with a cup of tea (or wine if after 5)

3. Phone a friend. If you can’t go out a meet up with a friend, then get on the phone and have a chat.

4. Paint your nails.

5. Crank up those tunes and have a crazy dance. Go on I dare you.

6. Get a massage. This is a tricky one I know, but maybe now would be a great time to see if any of the kids would be good masseur’s. Even better if the hubby is. Even better if you can get out of the house and have a professional one.
